Fear Factor 2011 FAQs

Are there any restrictions to apply?

You must be 18 years or older to apply.You must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States.If you do not live in the Los Angeles area, you must be prepared to arrange travel and hotel accommodations for your team. Filming will take place in the Los Angeles area sometime between July-October (subject to change) for approximately 7-10 (subject to change).

Does it matter who my teammate is?

No. You can choose anyone to be your teammate as long as he/she is 18+ years. Your teammate could be your spouse, sibling, parent, child, friend, co-worker, sports teammate, roommate or even your ex.

How do I apply to be on the upcoming season of Fear Factor?

STEP 1: Pre-register online – CLICK HERE to pre-register.

STEP 2: Attend an open call. If you live in the southern California area, we prefer to meet you in person.

*If you are unable to attend an open call or do not live in Southern California, mail in a videotape and application.

How do I pre-register?

CLICK HERE to pre-register. Once submitted, you will receive an email confirmation that we received your form. Only 1 person per team needs to complete the on-line pre-registration.

What do I need to bring to the open call?

Bring you and your teammate along with completed applications to the open call - each teammate must complete his/her own form.  CLICK HERE to download the application.  It is not necessary to bring a videotape if you are attending the open call.

When and where will the open calls be held?

The June/July 2011 audition locations will be announced soon; please visit www.fearfactorcasting.com for the most up-to-date information on open call locations, dates and times.

If I cannot attend an open call, how do I submit a video and application?

CLICK HERE for instructions on what to include in your video and where to send it to. Only a DVD or MINI DV will be accepted. (We will NOT accept Mini DVD, VHS or Hi-8 tapes). Each teammate must include his/her own application and a recent photo. CLICK HERE to download the application.

Should I send in a video submission if I plan to attend an open call?

There is no need to send in a home video submission if the casting team will have the opportunity to meet you in person at an open call.

Do you charge for the auditions?

No, auditions are free.

Is there a charge for parking at the open call venue(s)?

There may be a parking fee at the venue. The parking fees are set and collected by the venue manager. We have nothing to do with the parking fees or facilities. It is highly likely that you will have to pay for parking each time you come in and out of the parking structure. For example, if you leave the parking structure to go out and purchase food and then return, you will probably have to pay again.

If I am selected to participate on the show, what is my time commitment?

If you are selected to be on the show you must be available to commit yourself to the competition and taping of the show for approximately 7-10 days (subject to change). We may select you to participate anytime between July - October 2011 (subject to change). The filming will take place in the Los Angeles area, and you must be prepared to arrange accommodations for your team if you do not live in the Los Angeles area.
